The play was commissioned by Penumbra Theater Company in St. Paul, Minnesota (Sarah Bellamy, Artistic Director).

Harrison David Rivers is the winner of the 2018 Relentless Award for THE BANDAGED PLACE. His other plays include WHEN LAST WE FLEW (GLAAD Media Award), SWEET(AUDELCO nom), WHERE STORMS ARE BORN (Berkshire Theatre Award nom, Edgerton Foundation New Play Award), THIS BITTER EARTH (Jeff nom, MN Theatre Award for Exceptional New Work) and FIVE POINTS (MN Theatre Award for Exceptional New Work, BroadwayWorld Minneapolis Award for Best New Work). Amy has also been the director for Emerson College’s LA Program Senior Class Showcase in front of network, agents and mangers since 2016.  She is a graduate of The Ensemble Conservatory School at Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago and continues to study with Steppenwolf West, focused on ensemble and viewpoints with Jeff Perry, Alexandra Billings, and Eric Hunicutt. She holds a BA in Theatre Studies from Emerson College.
