When a young data scientist meets the girl of his dreams at a party, he can’t help but predict the various routes their relationship will take. After running all of the numbers, he comes to the conclusion that their relationship will inevitably never work out. The question is: should he pursue her anyway? “Inevitable” explores each and every eventuality before coming to an unexpected – and unpredictable – conclusion.

Development
“Inevitable” world premiered in Summer 2018 as part of “The Seven” short play festival at FUSION Theatre, where it won the Andaluz and Audience Awards for Best Play. Talkin’ Broadway reviewed the piece, describing it as “nothing less than a tour de force…pure magic.” The piece went on to be read and workshopped at Midwest Dramatists Conference. In 2020, “Inevitable” was selected for the Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Festival and will receive staged readings in anticipation of that competition.

FUSION Theater of Albuquerque selected her short play, “Inevitable” as the 2018 Andaluz Award Winner and also received the Audience Choice Award. In 2020, “Inevitable” was also selected for the Samuel French Short Play festival. Her short play “American Love” won Best Script/Best Overall Show at the “Native Voices” festival of central Florida. Her first full-length play, Exit Wound, was a finalist for the Actors Guild of Parkersburg’s “Giving Voice” Initiative. In 2019, her play The Consciousness premiered at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival and went on to win “Best Full-Length Play” at the Tampa Bay Theatre Festival. In 2019-2020, her full-length, Dark, Dark, Dark, will receive a staged reading from Playwrights’ Round Table and be workshopped at the Mid-America Theatre Conference in Chicago. Her most recent full-length, Phyllis/Philomena, will receive a staged reading at Flexible Grey Theatre in the spring of 2020.
