Wicked Child is a one-act play about two conflicted hitmen assigned to kill each other…who may end up falling in love.
Jonathan W. Stokes is a screenwriter who has written on assignment for studios such as Fox, Paramount, Universal, Warner Brothers, New Line, Sony, and Indian Paintbrush, and for actors such as Will Smith, Jeremy Renner, Hugh Jackman, and Benedict Cumberbatch, and for directors such as Ridley Scott and Mel Gibson. Jonathan is also an author with two book series published by Penguin Random House (The Addison Cooke series and The Thrifty Time Travel Guides). Jonathan recently wrote and directed the feature film Wildcat for Soapbox Films, starring BAFTA-winning actress Georgina Campbell. Jonathan was born in Manhattan and raised in Connecticut.
CHUCK McCOLLUM (Director) Wicked Child marks Chuck’s third season directing for the ROAD’s Summer Playwright’s Festival. Previous directorial credits: Emma at the El Segundo Playhouse, and Godspell, The Rainmaker, Picasso at the Lapin Agile and Play it Again, Sam at the Knightsbridge Theatre. Cleverly disguised by day as an actor, Chuck’s theater credits include The Play About the Baby at the ROAD, Sweeney Todd and 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the El Portal, and The Dinosaur Within and Futura at Theatre @ Boston Court. Television appearances include S.W.A.T., Lethal Weapon, Hawaii Five-O, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
