SPF 12: After the Deluge
Tells the story of two New York women arguing and grieving and recovering from the pandemic. Their clash raises sparks, conjures magic and comedy, and perhaps suggests a way forward in these fraught times.

John Patrick Shanley is from The Bronx. His plays include The Portuguese Kid, Prodigal Son, Outside Mullingar (Tony nomination), Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Savage in Limbo, Italian-American Reconciliation, Welcome to the Moon, Four Dogs and a Bone, Dirty Story, Defiance, and Beggars in the House of Plenty. His theatrical work is performed extensively across the United States and around the world. For his play, Doubt, he received both the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize. In the arena of screenwriting, he has nine films to his credit, most recently Doubt, with Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, and Viola Davis; Doubt, directed by Mr. Shanley, was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Adapted Screenplay. Other films include Five Corners (Special Jury Prize, Barcelona Film Festival), Alive, Joe Versus the Volcano (which he also directed), and Live From Baghdad for HBO (Emmy nomination). For his script of Moonstruck he received both the Writers Guild of America Award and an Academy Award for best original screenplay. In 2009, The Writers Guild of America awarded Mr. Shanley the Lifetime Achievement In Writing.
Tracey Silver is an actor, director, producer & voice-over artist. She has been a member of the Artistic Board of The Road Theatre Company since 2018. She served as Executive Director of The Road Theatre Summer Playwrights Festivals – SPF 11 & SPF 12. She received her MFA from The Actors Studio Drama School @ The New School University, NY. Some of her directing credits include: Vivien by Percy Granger (Acting Artists Theater), Mr. Goldwyn (with Mark Rydell) Actors Studio LA & NY, The Runway Lounge (Road Theatre- SPF 9) Around-the-Clock Festival (Rogue Machine Theatre), The Road by Steve Tesich (Theater 3-NY), and numerous staged readings for Connection Theatre Company at The Directors Company in NY. Assistant Director for Ovation Nominated Plays : Awake & Sing (Odyssey Theatre), Pocatello (Rogue Machine Theatre) and A Taste of Honey (Odyssey Theatre). She is a lifetime member of The Actors Studio Acting & Directing Units. She works as a Liaison to The Head of The Acting Program at the Actors Studio MFA- Pace University where she assists with auditions in Los Angeles for their graduate acting program in New York.
