A witty, Two-Act dramatic play about mental illness in an African American family revolving around a woman’s compulsive guilt, drug addiction, alcohol abuse and multifaceted visual and auditory hallucinations regarding the accidental death of her 17-year-old son.

Aaron Braxton’s screenplays, The Passage of Sun, To Lie Beneath, A Long Way From Sunday and The Longest Goodbye as well as his TV pilot, The Sub, are among the most awarded screenplays in the competition and festival circuits. Also a playwright, his solo play, Did You Do Your Homework? ran 9 months at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and garnered a NAACP Image Award and an International Gala Star from Romania. Other plays include BROKEN, which won a Max K. Lerner Fellowship and has been a finalist in several competitions and festivals. In addition, Aaron has authored the 2019 Emma Children’s Book Award nominee, Jesse and the Caterpillar Who Got Its Wings. Also an accomplished actor, he has starred, guest starred and co-starred in many films, television and stage plays. Hailing from Roxbury, MA, now living in Los Angeles, he holds a B.A. from SDSU and a M.A. from USC.

With Rogue Machine Theatre, Lorraine Hansberry’s, ”Les Blancs (Ovation-nominated, Best Director), the L.A. premiere of Greg Kalleres’, “Honky” (nominated Best Director, Comedy), Lorraine Hansberry’s, ”A Raisin in the Sun” at A Noise Within (Ovation nominated, Best Director) & a revival of Alice Childress’, “Wedding Band: A Love/Hate Story in Black and White” for the Antaeus Company (Winner Stage Raw Award–Best Revival, Best Ensemble).
