SPF 13: The Wake
In life, Colleen was a force of nature. Six months after her death, her sisters Maggie and Rosemary rent a beach house in Florida to scatter her ashes, only to find themselves and their respective partners staring down a hurricane. As the strong winds and rainbands begin, strange encounters with wildlife signal something more is going on. Filled with humor and heart, The Wake explores grief, family, and America’s shifting cultural and environmental climates.

Tammy is a resident playwright of New Dramatists class of 2027. Her work has been performed across the United States and internationally at such theaters as The Alliance Theater, Florida Stage, Marin Theater Company, People’s Light and Theater Company, Pittsburgh Playhouse, Portland Stage Company, Premiere Stages, and Theatre Lab among others. Honors include the Francesca Primus Prize for Lost Boy Found in Whole Foods, and the American Alliance of Theater in Education’s Distinguished New Play Award for The Music Lesson. Other works include Molly’s Hammer (Repertory Theater of St. Louis), Tar Beach (Luna Stage), Soldier’s Heart, (Pittsburgh Playhouse) and Baby’s Blues (NCPA, Mumbai). Her work has been supported by the National New Play Network, New Harmony Project, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Heinz Endowment, and the Pittsburgh Foundation. Daniel on THIS BITTER EARTH, and worked side by side with director Michael Garces on the critically acclaimed production of Bernardo Cubria’s THE PLAY YOU WANT.
Christina just finished directing ‘ART’, for Interact Theatre Company’s Tony Award-Winning play series, which live-streamed on Broadway on Demand. She also produced Interact Theatre Company’s production of THE CHERRY ORCHARD, which won the LADCC for best play of the year.
A multi-award-winning actress, Christina has acted in numerous films and television shows, and an equal amount of theatre productions. She was awarded the 2018 Best Solo show Of The Year, for her portrayal of legendary modern dancer Martha Graham in MARTHA, and recently received a Telly Award for Best Comedy of 2021 for the virtual series, THE VIRTUAL END.
