An adult fairytale about grief, isolation, motherhood, and autonomy, Tilly Birdbones tells the story of a family’s final year with its youngest daughter, as recounted by the tutor who bore witness to her metamorphosis into a bird.

Originally from Montreal and based in New York, Leah Annia Plante-Wiener (she/her) has just graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in dramatic writing. Her plays include Tilly Birdbones, Of Flesh and Feathers, Marguerite and the Girls, and Bonefruit. Leah’s work has been produced through the Broke People Play Festival, the New York Theatre Festival’s Summerfest, and the Chain Theatre, as well as shortlisted for the Epiphanies New Works Festival. She is obsessed with the art of mythmaking and story-weaving, the body and its shadowy realms, the dreamlike and the grotesque, and obsession itself. You can find her on Instagram at @leah.annia.

David is a graduate of the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts. Artistic Director Donovan Marley. In 1995 David Directed the roads first play at the Lankershim Art center AKILAH. LA TIME called it a important new Drama! It won many awards that year. David has been Nominated for a LA DRAMA CRITIC CIRCLE AWARD FOR (WHITE PEOPLE ) by TONY WINNER JT ROGER Road theater 1998. He played TEACH in DAVID MAMET’S (AMERICAN BUFFALO at LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE) ( CRITICS CHOICE LA TIMES) ALSO PRODUCTION OF THE YEAR ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER) David last appeared at the road in (THROUGH THE EYE OF THE NEEDLE) by Jami Brandi. He has worked at the NY SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL in two plays Directed by the Late JOSEPH PAPP and has done many plays in NYC and Regionally. David has been seen in many movies and TV shows over the last 35 years. The Road is his home base here in Los Angeles.
