Allison Dayne

Allison Dayne is a Los Angeles–based actor, playwright, and comedian known for blending classical text with sharp contemporary humor. She earned her BFA from Westminster College and her MFA from Savannah College of Art and Design, where she was selected for the Atelier Alumni Writing Residency. Through that residency, she went on to write, co-direct, and star in Madly, a modern LGBTQ feature adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull, now available on streaming. An alum of the Second City Comedy Studies Program and currently studying at The Groundlings and UCB, Allison’s work spans stage and screen. She won Critics’ Choice and Best Playwright at the Atlanta Fringe Festival for her original play Unrequited: A Chekhov Collision, earned Best of Fringe at the Utah Fringe Festival for her one-woman show Scorch, and recently performed at Crow Comedy’s Baby Bumps. Her short film A King’s Curtain, which she wrote and starred in, won Best Film at LA Film Shorts Festival, Burbank International Film Festival, and AMT International Film Festival, among others, establishing her as a bold and versatile voice in contemporary theater and film.
