
Blu del Barrio
Bio: Blu del Barrio (he/they) hails from Southern California, where he grew up in the hills of Topanga Canyon. His journey in the performing arts began at the age of seven, leading him to pursue studies at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Following his graduation, del Barrio landed their television debut role as a series regular, portraying ‘Adira’ in Star Trek: Discovery (2017). This casting made Blu one of the two first trans and non-binary actors to join the Star Trek Universe franchise. Blu embraces the responsibility of portraying trans and non-binary characters on screen and onstage with the aim of increasing visibility and representation for the trans community. Most recently, Blu played ‘Jesse’ in the upcoming Dave Bautista action pic Trap House, and is currently voicing the character of Max in Nickelodeon’s ‘Max and the Midknights’.
