Sarah Tubert is an actress who is a series regular, playing Cookita on Disney’s new animated series Primos. She has also completed the audiobook narration of the New York Times best seller “El Deafo.” Along with an active career in tv, film, and stage, she is first generation American, with her dad immigrating to the United States from South America.
When Sarah was three, she underwent a surgery that resulted in facial paralysis on her right side and becoming Deaf. Along with being an actress, Sarah is a motivational speaker with the dream to inspire people and show that everyone has a beautiful journey despite their obstacles.
Sarah has also collaborated with Disney multiple times to Sign songs in American Sign Language, with “Show Yourself” from Frozen II having more than a million views.
When Sarah is not acting, she is also the Captain of the USA National Deaf Women’s Volleyball team where she has competed in 3 Deaflympics in Bulgaria, Turkey, and Brazil. She will be competing in the 2025 Deaflympics in Tokyo Japan.
