When a #metoo op-ed piece about his affairs with female students goes viral, a beloved ivy league college professor faces an impossible dilemma: save his job by coming clean or save his relationship with his daughter, whose future is at risk over his admission of one particular long-ago affair – her mentor.

Joshua Rebell – Playwright:


Plays include Omission (Ashland New Plays Festival), Embraceable You (Tamarind Theatre), Gatsby in Hollywood (The Met Theatre), and Preying On Puritans (Sacred Fools). For Sacred Fools, he has also written plays for Grimm! and Naked Holidays (a project he co-created). Additionally, his plays have received readings and workshops with Capital Repertory Theatre, EST/LA, and The Dorset Theatre Festival. Screenplays include Black Market, Old Boys Club, Map Of The Universe, and Preying On Puritans (most recently optioned by KPD entertainment). Mr. Rebell is a Stowe Story Labs alum, and a member of The Writers Guild and The Dramatists Guild, Inc.

Taylor Nichols* – Director:

Taylor Nichols is an award-winning short filmmaker having directed Two Heterosexual Men Get Ready To Go Out and Last Train. This is Taylor’s 7th Summer Playwrights Festival and is very happy to be back. Working with the actors to help the playwright achieve his or her goal is the drug that brings him back each year. Currently, he is working with Erik Gernand to turn his past SPF production, The Beautiful Dark, into a feature film. When not directing, Taylor is best known as an actor currently working on Pen15 and The Walking Dead.
