When Leila enters a “Women’s Health and Wellness” clinic needing an abortion, she takes matters into her own hands.

Sharon E. Cooper (playwright, Women’s Health and Wellness) is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter based in New York City. Her short plays have been produced in Australia, Canada, England, Germany, Hungary, India, Singapore, Germany, the Netherlands and across the U.S. She is published in Laugh Lines: Short Comic Plays, The Bedford Introduction to Literature; Reading Literature and Writing Argument; Literature to Go; and several of The Best Ten-Minute Plays series. Sharon’s plays are taught on college campuses nationally, and she has been a guest professor/teaching artist in high schools and colleges. Her short comedic films have won awards and screened across the country. She is currently querying agents for her first Middle Grade novel. Sharon has an MA from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU. She is the co-founder of Maximum Potential Education, a holistic tutoring and educational services company. Alexandra Tejada is honored to be directing “Women’s Health and Wellness” by Sharon Cooper. After directing films including “Baude Dizmorfia” and “Boys Like You”, she is elated to be bridging her two loves to direct within the theater.
Past acting credits include the titular role of “Emily Sombra in the Land of Phobos”, Valentina in the premiere of “Marabella”, and festival award-winning short films “The Daughter” and “Beyond Seven Heavens”.
